RISE – Fly Fishing Film Festival 2009 is set to hit Australian theatres, kicking off next week in Sydney. Gin-Clear Media will also be taking the event around the country throughout June and July as part of a worldwide 2009 tour which will see the festival visit nine countries. This cross country event is saturated with exotic destinations, incredible cinematography, epic adventure and big fish.
According to event coordinator Nick Reygaert this year’s festival features stunning movies from global destinations including Tasmania, India, and northern Europe. Gin-Clear Media’s The Source – Tasmania is the festival’s feature movie. Part of a series, The Source exposes the most unlikely fly fishing destinations from around the world. This year’s film is complemented by a high-energy soundtrack delivered on a state-of-the-art digital sound system and includes well known bands from Australia and New Zealand.
