Little bloke, big barra!

WE get loads of entries every week for our Shimano Juniors Fishy Photos Comp, a strong indication the future of rec fishing in Australia is in good hands with our next generation of anglers.

Today we thought we’d highlight this entry sent in by well known gun fisho and tackle industry veteran, Wayne Lodington.

The photo features young “Digger” Cowie of Narooma, NSW with a beaut barra he caught while fishing at the East Alligator River in the Northern Territory two weeks ago.

Wayne says Digger was fishing with his grandfather Simon Simpson of Narooma. The barra was caught on a Halco lure and measured 130 cms long before being released. Thanks, Wayne and well done, Digger!
