CENTRAL Victorian anglers are celebrating the completion of brand-new facilities at Lake Eppalock, worth $400,000.
The Kimbolton Foreshore now features a modernised toilet block, a new barbecue shelter area, two more new shelters, pathways including disabled access and new signage and landscaping.
Lake Eppalock is a top-notch fishing destination year-round for a range of popular species.
The Victorian Fisheries Authority has stocked the lake with more than a million Murray cod and golden perch over the years, and trout more recently. There are also plenty of redfin, which are delicious on the dinner table and a great introductory species for the kids.
This project is a joint effort between DELWP Hume, Goulburn-Murray Water and the Victorian Fisheries Authority.
