THE North Coast Fishing Bonanza presented by Gamakatsu and Evinrude is on again in 2014, from September 24 to 28.
The new format involves four days of fishing starting Wednesday night to allow for bad weather, finishing Sunday. Last year the event was a hit with over 300 competitors chasing a wide variety of inshore and offshore species from boat and land.
There are a host of prizes on offer with a total prize pool over $100,000. All competitors including cadets have the chance to win one of two boat and motor packages, one for adults only and one for cadets only, so there is a great chance of picking up a fantastic prize.
At the show site on the banks of the Richmond River, daily talks will attract plenty of interest with some enthusiastic youngsters sure to be involved in the soft plastics demonstrations.
Last year there were also a host of winners receiving sponsors’ product from Samurai rods to Shimano estuary packs, Penn Combos, Mako Eyewear, Engel fridges and eskies courtesy of the Ice Box Bloke.
This year Fishing World will once again run the photo competition with entrants having the chance to see their image online with Australia’s largest fishing media platform and the chance to win a subscription to the magazine.
