PLANS are in place for a number of rock fishing workshops in the Randwick Council area on October 25 and 28, and November 1. Communication materials such as flyers and posters are being prepared in English, Chinese and Korean languages.
As detailed in the NSW RecFisher newsletter, the workshops are a joint initiative of the NSW Government, Randwick City Council and the Recreational Fishing Alliance of NSW.
The workshops will cover all aspects of rock fishing from choosing a site, preparing to fish, safety gear, check lists, fishing equipment, targeting species, reading the ocean, looking after your catch, bag and size limits etc. One of the key attractors is a free lifejacket courtesy of the Old4New Van.
