Sufix, in partnership with Gore, the makers of Gore-Tex fabrics, has created a breakthrough in fishing line technology: Sufix 832 – awarded the Best Line Award at the 2010 International Convention of Allied Sportfishing Trades (ICAST).
The makers of Sufix 832 fishing line say the combination of Gore’s expertise in advanced materials, Sufix’s capability and know-how with fishing lines and new R8 precision braiding technology, has resulted in the ultimate advanced technical fishing line.
Sufix 832 is comprised of three main technology features. The first is Dyneema fibres, which contribute to the small diameter, high strength and sensitivity of the fishing line. The Gore Performance Fibres add improved abrasion resistance, noise and vibration reduction, along with improved casting length and accuracy. Lastly, the R8 Precision Braiding and fibre technology add superior strength, roundness and line consistency. Formulated with eight fibres – seven Dyneema and one Gore – at 32 pics (weaves) per inch, Sufix 832 is the only fishing line to combine both Dyneema and Gore polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE) fibres.
Six years in the making, Sufix 832 is designed to offer anglers a fishing line to match any application. The makers claim it features the highest knot and tensile strength to diameter, the roundest profile of any fishing line and improved durability and abrasion resistance.
Available in convenient 150yds and 300yd spools, 832 comes in an eye catching Neon Lime and Lo-Vis Green. Breaking strains range from 6lb (2lb mono equivalent) to 80lb (20lb mono equivalent).
