VICTORIA has just broken its own fish stocking record, setting a new benchmark of 11.5 million for 2023/24.
That’s more fish stocking than all other states and territories combined.
More than 9 million of these were native species including Murray cod, golden perch and bass. Victorian Fisheries Authority also stocked lots of trout and salmon too!
Huge effort by the Snobs and Arcadia hatchery teams, helped by hundreds of volunteer anglers at the water’s edge to send the fish on their way.
