A COUPLE of weeks back we featured a bunch of Fishing World covers dating back to the mag’s original incarnation as The Australian Angler, introduced by founder Ron Calcutt back in the late 1960s. See story HERE.
We asked for reader feedback on the covers with the most interesting, funny or creative comment receiving a prize. Congratulations to Paul Busch who wrote:
What a walk down memory lane, I too remember enjoying all these copies. My favourite has to be feb 87 with David Green on the cover. Not for the photography or composition, but for the impact that issue had on my fishing life.To this day I remember that story on catching that king on a garfish. It inspired me to catch kings of my local ledge, but more importantly it started many years of admiration for David’s talents as a writer and fishing innovator. Its amazing how one cover all those years ago can bring such strong memories.

We’ve delved into the archives again today and picked out another bunch of old Fisho covers – scroll down and let us know your thoughts again on which you liked (or didn’t). The best comment will also win one of these collectable Rapala lures.
